The battery storage unit in Fife is contained within a shed designed to integrate with the surrounding farm buildings. Surrounding the unit are native planting and a sustainable drainage system.

In a comprehensive effort to address stakeholder concerns and uphold environmental standards, various surveys and assessments were undertaken. Ecology surveys were conducted to assess the impact on local wildlife and ecosystems, while noise surveys were performed to gauge the potential auditory effects of the project. Landscape and visual assessments were also carried out to ensure that the project's aesthetics would align with the preferences of the local community and other stakeholders.

This project received planning approval in 2017.
