Located in Dos Hermanas, the 6th biggest city of Andalucia, very close to Sevilla, El Barroso Solar Farm generates 40 MW of renewable, carbon-free electricity.
Dos Hermanas city expects a huge population increase for the next 10 years, boosting from the current 140,000 to 200,000 citizens.
El Barroso Solar Farm is surrounded by two very important highways and a water channel, minimising the visual impact to the area. It is also beside a new industrial area where major companies like Amazon are being established.
Status
El Barroso Solar Farm is in the last stage of development, currently expecting to be connected to the electrical distribution grid by mid-2025.
